Today we are concluding my Cleaning the Bathroom Series with a quick run-down of how I clean the bathroom each week.
The first thing I do is collect my bathroom cleaning caddy from the laundry. To find out what I keep in the caddy check Part 3 of the series. It is so handy keeping everything together. I then go to the first bathroom and spray the bath, shower and toilet with the Lavender and Lemon Bathroom Disinfecting Spray.
After spraying I then clean my mirror, taps and basins with the ENJO cloths. As I explained in Part 1, I love using these cloths on the mirror as they clean the mirror really quickly and don’t leave any smears.
Next I move on to wiping the shower and bath with a microfiber cloth. I recently discovered this method from cleanmama and love her Bathroom Spray. I love the lavender and lemon smell that it leaves and it does a great job of cleaning too. One quick wipe even removed some mould from the cornice above the shower. Another thing I love about this spray is it doesn’t get soapy so you don’t have to wipe away all the bubbles.
Once the bath and shower have been wiped I then move on to the toilet, using a different microfiber cloth. I wipe the flush buttons first, then the outside, the lid, the seat and then don’t forget to wipe right round the base. After this I clean the inside with the toilet brush.
Then I move to the second bathroom and start over again, using clean microfiber cloths.
After I have finished I wash the ENJO cloths and other microfiber cloths on a hot cycle.
That’s the weekly clean done. The floors are cleaned on Tuesdays, so that isn’t part of my bathroom cleaning routine. I usually do this on a Wednesday morning and then wash the towels on Thursdays. I do a deeper clean of the bathroom (windows, fan, light fittings etc) once a month.
Here’s the rest of the series. Now the bathroom should be sparkling clean!
